Butter removal robot cell

Staedler Automation AG designed and developed a special machine with robot to insert the butter portions into standard packages for Züger Frischkäse AG and put it into operation.

Empty packages are inserted manually and transported into the plant. A lifting station and a slider will take the packages into the filling position.

The butters are accumulated on the conveyor belt and then pushed onto a deposit table. The robot takes 12 pieces of butter to the packages at the same time.

Various butter formats can be selected via the touch panel.

The plant performance is designed for 100 products per minute.

Automated insertion without cardboard box promotes sustainability and increases capacity.

“Procurement of the portion robot has enabled Züger Frischkäse AG to comply with a customer request and promote sustainability. One of our largest customers is using recyclable plastic packages for all of its logistics. Before, all butter was put into the package with a cardboard box. Since the plants are running very fast and the butter in the packaging is still soft, this work could not be done by hand. Because of this, Staedler developed a solution in very good cooperation with us in order to automate this process. The custom plant with a robot was implemented professionally and cooperatively.”
