Control unit Conveyor technology Container washing system

Staedler Automation AG designed, developed, and commissioned the control unit for this plant of a major distributor. The plant comprises two lines with a capacity of 1500 packs/h each.

The conveyor system unstacks different types of packs and then takes them to the washing machine. Downstream of the washing machine, the packs are handed over, pre-stacked, and prepared for the robot.

The previous S5 control unit in the robot cell was integrated into the main control unit, which is provided by a Siemens safety PLC. It is connected to the servo inverters and IO modules via Profinet. All safety components are read in and controlled by the PLC directly.
